In the embedded software design of efficient intelligent transportation system, the real-time capability and system stability is strictly required. However, it is restricted by some elements in traditional memory management mechanism, such as complex implementation, memory fragmentations, etc. Therefore, in this paper, a novel method of memory management is proposed for real-time application which integrates the static allocation of memory with the dynamic allocation. At the end of this paper, the performance comparison of this design with other mechanisms is given
