The author examines how eight companies have applied pipelined architecture to graphics display technology. The companies are: Saber Technology Corporation; Sun Microsystems; Lexidata Corporation; Silicon Graphics Inc.; Parallex Graphics Inc.; Seillac Corporation; Megatek Corporation; and Weitek Corporation. The use to which these companies put computer graphics are discussed.
