Digital synthesizer tuners that have electronized the tuning section of radio receivers are steadily penetrating the market, backed by advancements in LSI technology. Systems employed by digital synthesizer tuners on the market today may roughly be classified into two categories, PLL (phase locked loop) frequency synthesizers and DAC (digital to analog converter) voltage synthesizers.
