Although more than twenty years have passed by since the advent of IC technology, our most concern to the IC technology has been focussed to direct yet one-sided quantities such as device packing density and operational speed. Even today, in our LSI's most prosperous age, the memory capacity and the speed- power product of the ring oscillators are most treasured as the expression of the height of the technological level. 2 These facts seem refering to us that our conventional IC concept has not been freed from 'cluster of discrete devices'.
