In the continuing evolution of high performance electron guns for color TV three newer designs are presently being considered for use in 29-mm neck in-line applications, with a single focus voltage set at 28% of anode. These three are: a high voltage bipotential (or Hi Bi) design, and two hybrid lens designs, a unipotential bipotential (or Uni Bi) and a bipotential unipotential (or Bi Uni).
