The paper discusses the concept and system function of digital oilfield, and clarifies the importance of virtual reality technology in oilfields. It provides a systematic study on interactive seismic data interpretation based on virtual reality and puts forward a systematic formation plan for the interpretation platform. The experiments of both hardware and software show that the design is feasible and could meet the need of 3D seismic data interpretation
