The authors have successfully developed a six-primary-color liquid crystal display using six-color LEDs. More specifically, a prototype of a six-primary-color liquid crystal display having a color gamut of 170% or wider then that of conventional techniques has been constructed. Furthermore, this monitor has our original color conversion circuit and a newly developed calibration system using an integrated color sensor, so that it can reproduce colors appropriately and keep its white point chromaticity stable
