This paper presents a real-time library used to control the brushless DC (BLDC) motor. The synthesis, code generation and the implementation of the control program are carried out on the host PC, under the user interface of Matlab. The target is a DSK24X development system, connected on serial port to the host computer. This real time library is useful for rapid control prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop simulations. The full functionality of Matlab/Simulink can be used for parameter's visualization without interrupting or impeding the control process on the DSK24X board. Finally, the speed control application for a BLDC motor is presented in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of this real time library
