The property of fuzzy controller is determined by the fuzzy-control rules. Optimisation of fuzzy-control rules has been the bottle-neck problem of the fuzzy controller design. Based on thorough understanding of integrality, consistency and optimization of fuzzy-control rules, this paper provides an improved genetic algorithm for optimization of fuzzy-control rules, and also, it offers the operator of a genetic algorithm. The fuzzy controller designed with the optimized rules is verified by its simulation experiments
