Wireless mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are of a self-organizing nature. This nature must be supported by an appropriate routing protocol. Unlike conventional wireless networks, MANETs have no physical backbone infrastructure and no administrative support. The quality of service (QoS) aspect in general, and QoS routing in particular, in MANETs, need more attention as a result of the rising popularity and necessity of real-time multimedia applications. Currently, no robust QoS routing protocol can serve MANETs' dynamic environs. This paper presents a proactive/reactive bandwidth-based and stability-aware robust QoS routing (RQoSR) algorithm for MANETs. The description of RQoSR, its performance analysis, and representative simulation results are presented
