Taking into account the nonlinear magnetic reluctivity and the temperature-dependent properties of the heated material, a new algorithm based on Galerkin's finite element method is applied to calculate induction heating. Using this algorithm, the calculations performed deal with some important features of the high frequency induction heating such as the frequency of the oscillator and the equivalent resistance and inductance. The results are reasonable
