Presents a novel concept of channel estimation standard (CES) and applies a new CES error criterion to the process of an adaptive blind equalization. It is shown that the establishment of the CES contributes to the development of a practical communication scheme for approaching to the capacity of a high SNR band-limited channel without using a preamble signal training
