A one-step method for fulfilling the MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) system closed-loop response assessment task is proposed. The algorithm for implementing the assessment is discussed. Because the new algorithm assesses the output transient performance without the need to use the input information assessment, the uncertainty in closed-loop output predictions has been reduced greatly. The improvement is especially valuable in multivariable systems using pseudodiagonalization
