Self consistent nonlinear theory is applied to analyze the large orbit magnetron-type gyrotron in detail; many calculations are carried under different cavity dimensions and electron beam parameters. The influence of electron beam thickness and output structure is taken into consideration. Dimensions of a 16 slot, 35 GHz, 8th harmonic tube are given
