A rapid prototyping tool for distributed real-time systems relies on a repository of reusable software components (or objects) to support application development. The goal is to quickly generate systems that meet hard real-time constraints. The components in the repository must be retrievable, easily reusable, and possess attributes that facilitate scheduling analysis.
