100 Gbit/s, <2ps transform-limited supercontinuum optical pulses are transmitted for the first time at three wavelengths over 40 km with less than 1 dB power penalty, maintaining a small time-bandwidth product of less than 0.2. The new source can be applied to ultrafast TDM/WDM transmission and signal processing approaching 1 Tbit/s
