It consists of a computer system, color CRT (cathode ray tube) displays and a high-speed optical-fiber data transmission system. It receives process data from the process computer, and provides plant safety status information through CRT display screens. The latter consist of primary, trend, and other screens which are designed both for emergency cases and usual plant supervision.
