A new analytical methodology for outage probability evaluation of a vehicle-to-vehicle packet radio communication system at 60 GHz, is presented. Propagation characteristics, co-channel interference and thermal noise are taken into account, in the context of an highway traffic model. Both code division and time division multiple access schemes are analysed: results as a function of offered traffic and useful link distance are discussed. The analytical procedure is general, and can also be applied to bi-dimensional cellular structures
