The paper presents the results of precision measurements of the power transmission coefficient of low-loss passive linear two-ports. Two different measurement approaches were intercompared, using RF noise power and RF attenuation measuring techniques. The noise power approach is preferably applied for the detection of small changes in attenuation.<>
