Application of elliptic functions for the analysis of power system transient stability

The paper addresses the application of elliptic functions to power system transient stability analysis. Two distinct cases are detailed wherein the expressions developed enable the determination of situations leading to instability. Conclusions are presented as to the simplicity of the method in its application.<
