Based on the BEM formulation with E&oarr; and H&oarr; derived by one of the authors, an improved formulation has been proposed in this paper by using virtual eddy current density J&oarr;v and magnetic field strength H&oarr; for 3-D eddy currents. The equation system derived by the second formulation is better conditioned than that obtained from the first one. A massively parallel algorithm for the proposed BEM formulation is discussed and has been implemented on a massively parallel supercomputer (CM-200). One numerical example is given. The comparison between numerical and analytical results shows a good agreement
