For simulation of electromagnetic devices it is necessary to solve simultaneously the electromagnetic and electric circuit equations. Then the difficulties are in the choice of magnetic formulations to take into account the electric circuit equations with a limited number of unknowns. In this communication, we present and discuss several electromagnetic formulations. The cases of stranded and solid conductors are considered and three applications are treated
