Design and analysis of a permanent magnet axial coupling using 3D finite element field computations

3D finite element computations are presented to determine the magnetic field distribution, force and torque, of a permanent magnet axial coupling. The force and torque are computed using a one-step virtual work method. Results are in very good agreement with measured data.<
