The generation of high-power tunable single-mode continuous-wave (CW) radiation using a dye ring laser amplifier is demonstrated. Weak radiation of a single-mode master oscillator is amplified in an injection-locked slave oscillator. The way in which the output power depends on injected power, pump power, and frequency is investigated. The theoretical equations for the output power are discussed. A maximum output power of 6.2 W was achieved at 20 W pump power and 0.8 W injected power
