The steady state analysis of the half bridge series parallel resonant converter (HBSPRC) is described using an AC equivalent circuit in terms of normalized frequency and quality factor. The effects of inductor resistance and average on the resistance on the semiconductor devices used in the inverter are considered. Design equations for a half bridge parallel resonant convertor (HBPRC) are obtained as a special case of the HBSPRC. Design examples are given to illustrate the usefulness of the parametric curves in the design of HBSPRC and HBPRC. Simulation results using PSPICE (simulation program and IC emphasis) are given to support the analytical results
