A scenario for the deployment of interactive multimedia cable television systems in the United States in the 1990s

This paper discusses the key technologies that are enabling the transition from analog to digital interactive television. Also discussed is a proposed three-phase scenario for the U.S. deployment of interactive multimedia cable television systems during the remainder of the decade of the 1990s and some of the social implications of such networks.<
