An approach to refining an H-optimal controller for the four-block H control problem is proposed. The H norm of the sublayers can be improved by this approach. A simulation of the rotorcraft flight control on time responses is provided. The simulation results show promising progress both in the frequency domain and in the time domain without inflation of the McMillan degree of the controller
