On the basis of gamma-transmission measurements, an iterative method has been established previously to better determine the void fraction in two-phase flow. In order to further improve the accuracy of the experimental results, a simple ring model is proposed to correct for the void-distribution effect. This method is tested by a series of benchmark experiments designed according to two fundamental void-distribution types. The results show that the accuracies of void-fraction predictions can be significantly improved by this modified method
