The behavior of ionic wind in acoustical standing wave fields and the luminous part of corona discharges are investigated. Results shows that both the shapes of ionic wind area and the luminous part of bridged-over corona have a tendency to spread by sound waves. Their widths are dependent on the amplitude of the particle displacement of sound
