Interference of multiple optical carriers in subcarrier-multiplexed (SCM) systems is analyzed. The center wavelengths of the optical carriers may randomly deviate from their nominal values. The carrier-to-interference ratio is derived for multiple-source SCM systems in which the center wavelengths are random variables having Gaussian probability densities.<>
