The feasibility of digital Holter recording using neural networks is examined. The networks are used for data compression operations with a ratio of 1:40. Electrocardiographic data are processed by means of an artificial neural network. This necessitates a search for appropriate algorithms under conditions of decreased signal distortion. The authors describe the ideal backpropagation algorithm and procedures for the modification
