1/f noise generator using logarithmic and antilogarithmic amplifiers

A simple switched-capacitor circuit that generates 1/f/sup delta / noise is presented. The circuit realizes a discrete nonlinear one-dimensional map, that generates intermittent chaos with the 1/f/sup delta / power spectrum. An integrated circuit with a couple of logarithmic and antilogarithmic amplifiers is used to realize a nonlinear term x/sup Z/ in the map, which plays a key role in generating 1/f/sup delta / noise.<
