The authors propose a real time corona discharge imaging system using a pair of transparent electrodes to determine the effect of imaging parameters such as the electric field intensity on the resulting image quality, and to measure the discharge currents involved in each imaging procedure. First, they describe their real time corona discharge imaging system as a modified version of previously reported equipment. Secondly, some of the target images taken with plant leaves and metal phantoms are presented with the measured ionisation currents.
