Though decision support systems (DSS) have made a great progress, their deficiency in theoretical framework and existing network platform leads to many serious problems, such as isolated information islands, stiff structure, bad modularization, short lifecycle, etc. Luckily, as the next generation network, information grid can solve these problems perfectly. So we put forward a model of information grid-based DSS, and focus our discussion on the process of searching and invoking decision resources based on mobile agent. With a case, we illustrate how the model works in practice
