In order to get best results, some works in manufacturing enterprises can only be accomplished with other enterprises in a dynamic environment. The research content and purposes for development of cooperative manufacturing platform in grid environments are proposed. The scheduling strategies for cooperative manufacturing tasks based on multi-agent theory, which include the method to establish dynamic alliance, the flow of tasks distribution, as well as, some problems in conclusion synthesis, are analyzed. A system frame to implement cooperative manufacturing platform is designed. A descriptive ontology model for communicating among distributed application systems is established. The applications integration among different systems is accomplished by Web service technology. Some approaches to data integration among different systems are discussed. Finally, the implementation and application of the cooperative manufacturing platform based on the Web parts-library developed by author's lab are introduced
