The wireless sensor network is a highlight of information technology, which integrates sensing, computation and communication together, and it can be widely utilized in various fields. This paper proposes an acoustic localization system based on wireless sensor network and the factors affecting the precision of time synchronization are analyzed. Reference broadcast synchronization (RBS) is implemented on a platform and the experimental results are provided. Based on which, guidelines are obtained to improve performance of the system
