The performance of a solar photovoltaic array statically placed on a large urban building is analyzed. The design of a custom monitoring system is described which measures electrical quantities as well as internal panel temperatures and solar intensity. The system is capable of remote interrogation over the Internet. Data collected over a period of two years at twenty minute intervals is used to evaluate the peak and average performance of the array. Correlation of the data to the prevalent local environmental conditions is carried out
