Ultimate Bandwidths in High-Gain Multistage Video Amplifiers

This paper considers the design of high-gain video amplifiers from the point of view of choosing the number of stages. For a plain resistance-coupled and for a critically compensated shunt-peaked amplifier a simple rule is given for determining the number of stages for maximum bandwidth.
