In this article, we present a new network video server design programme. It is based on ADI (Analog Devices, Inc.) company's dual-code new DSP chip Blackfin561. It realized the performance of video images collecting, processing, and network transmission. Only used one DSP chip is the main feature of this system. Some new technologies, such as H.264 video coding, uCLinux embedded operating system and so on, were used too. The experiment results show that system with high real-time, stable, less power consume and low cost. This paper mainly introduce both software and hardware aspects of the system
