As the new standard IEC 61508 was introduced it is now required that systems with implemented functional safety are quantified regarding to their probability of failure. Therefore, a modelling using Markov-chains can be carried out to evaluate the probability of dangerous failures. The modelling of the appropriate Markov-chain is shown and discussed in this paper
