Femtosecond laser fabrication of Bragg gratings in borosilicate ion-exchange waveguides

Ultrafast 800-nm radiation from a Ti : sapphire amplifier was used to write high reflectivity Bragg gratings in silver ion-exchange waveguides made in a borosilicate glass substrate.
