High-order accurate unconditionally-stable implicit multi-stage finite-difference time-domain (IMS-FDTD) methods are presented, among which the details of an IMS(6,4)-FDTD method are given for demonstration. The analysis of the numerical dispersion relation shows that their performance is much better than those of conventional unconditionally-stable implicit FDTD methods.
