In this paper, constrained interpolation profile (CIP) method is applied to Maxwell's equation and the validity of CIP method applied to the equation is confirmed compared with the FDTD method. And as the one of its application, the dependency on CFL (Courant-Friedrich-Lewy) condition and the finite difference accuracy of non advection equation of the absorbing characteristics of one-layer EM-absorber are calculated using CIP method. As a result, it is confirmed that the accuracy of CIP method has a large dependency upon CFL condition and when the value (CFL) is 0.253, the best accuracy is obtained in the absorption characteristics calculation
