In this paper, we describe a kind of Markov chain based anomaly detection in the new intrusion detection system called zone-based intrusion detection system (ZBIDS) for the wireless ad hoc distribution power communication networks (WAH-DPCNs). According to the simulation results, it can be seen that Markov chain based anomaly detection engine of ZBIDS has the very good intrusion detection capability
