In this paper, an efficient differentiated service based QoS (quality of service) model is proposed with the use of the upcoming IEEE 802.11e standard in the wireless access network. The interface between these two networks includes not merely a translation of the QoS requirements from one network to the other but also a means of provisioning the DS core, based on the requirements of a particular flow. Simulation results demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed QoS control scheme from the aspect of access delay
