An algorithm to extend greyscale histogram equalisation to colour images is proposed. Unlike most current techniques, the proposed method can generate a uniform colour histogram, thus minimising disparity between histogram and uniform distribution. The method is applicable to higher dimensions. The results show that the approach is valid.
