Dynamic Computer Simulations of the proposed Personal Radio Communication System (PRCS) were undertaken to evaluate the performance of the system under various conditions of traffic dynamics, user behavior and propagation environment. The models employed characterize the user population, the PRCS configuration and proposed protocol. Performance measures include channel occupancy, reuse factor for the talk channels, calls cleared, average setup and failure times, and grade of service. The results include the expected grade of service for two metropolitan areas.
