The macromodel of a timer that can include a large number of features of real timers is presented. Besides the basic timer functions and its reactions to threshold, trigger, and reset inputs, the macromodel reacts to amplitudes and the duration of these signals. The parameters of the macromodel of the SE/NE555 timer are calculated on the basis of catalog information. Some of these parameters must be recalculated if a more precise macromodel is wanted
