In this paper, a flexible approach using hybrid particle swarm optimization-genetic algorithm (PSO-GA) is proposed for fast adaptive wide steering and array failure correction in digital beamforming of arbitrary arrays. Examples of wide steering and array failure correction are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.
