The main purpose of Web services is to make both inter- and intraapplication integration possible in a way that the process of the integration depends neither on the condition of the application platform nor on the underlying communication infrastructure (principle of platform and infrastructure independence). Since the information about Web services and their providers are managed in a central UDDI (Universal Description Discovery and Integration)-Registry and the present UDDI standard doesn´t offer a mechanism for the automatic actualization of the Web service information, they are often inaccurate and expired. In this article a concept is presented, how these problems can be solved and an optimization to the Web service application process can be reached by adopting a Pull/Push-Technique and Publish/ Subscribe Model based search and management system for Web services. Besides, the system searches proactively for new Web services and selects the appropriate services for the service customer, so that a performance improvement is achieved, because the reaction time of the whole Web service application process is reduced.
